Nearby, Ball Harbour Shops is a haven for all things glamorous. The Shops offer over 100 stores featuring the best of the fashion designers. It is an open-air setting that will not disappoint.

Another place you will likely spend a couple of dollars is Lincoln Road. 7 blocks of the infamous road have been closed to auto-traffic, allowing pedestrians to stroll at their leisure.

Eat

While shopping on Lincoln Road, you can stop to refuel at one of the many restaurants located in between the shops. You cannot have a better meal than at the Meat Market. However, another delicious place is Rosa Mexicano, if you are in the mood for gourmet Mexican cuisine. A lot of the restaurants have outdoor seating, thus be sure to request it in order to enjoy the lovely weather and attractive people passing by.

Due to it being home to many Cuban residents, there is a neighbourhood named Little Havana where a copious amount of Cuban restaurants can be found. They offer large portions for unbeatable prices.  The most popular, and rightfully so, is Versailles.

Drink

South Beach might be the preferred place to head to for drinks, however downtown Miami, Brickell, and the Design District are quickly becoming its rivals. Bahia Bar, which is located within the Four Seasons Hotel, is the place to be seen and they make a mouthwatering mojito. If instead you decide to still check out South Beach, head to the Rose Barat the Delano or the Sky barat Shore Club, both are equally classy spots to sip your beverage of choice.

Speaking of drinks, if you happen to be in Miami in February, make sure to stop by the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. This yearly festival draws in vendors and guests from all over the world and you will not leave thirsty.

Stay

While the attention to detail throughout the hotel will astonish, there is also a noticeable restraint that is refreshing in this Miami Beach classic.

Walk

One of the things that Miami is most famous for is its Art Decor architecture. There is a specific district in the city that is known for having one of the largest collections of Art Deco structures in the world. Depending on your preference, you can either have guided or self-guided walking tour of the area.

While you are still walking, head over to South Pointe Park. The newly remodeled park is 17.5 acres and has an unforgettable view of the ocean. It is the perfect place for a picnic with the family.

Get out

It requires a car, but nearby Everglades National Park is worth the drive. It contains 1.5 million acres of swamps and sub-tropical jungles that are home to endangered species, such as the: American Crocodile, the Florida Panther and the West Indian Manatee. Most of the park is impossible to explore, unless you are true adventurists, however there are plenty of places to walk, camp, and/or participate in water-based activities.

Listen

The nightlife is made up of more than just drinking and dancing, as there are a number of live venues around the city. Miami is most known for its Latin music, since Hispanics make up a large part of the population. In addition, with the rise of the international music scene, many famous musicians come through. You are always guaranteed a fun time at Mangos Tropical Café, where sexy dancers grove to the live beats. Another option is Bongos Cuban Café, owned by the legendary Gloria Estefan. If you do not know how to dance the salsa, this is the place to visit, as they offer free lessons.
